Started in 2005, TRIP awards an individual, group, or business who is passionately committed to improving Troy, toils in his or her neighborhood out of a love of community, and demonstrates his or her hometown pride in Troy in very positive and real ways. The award is presented at TRIP's Annual HomeComing Dinner.
In 2005, the inaugural Troy Treasure award was presented to the Washington Park Association.
In 2006, the Troy Treasure award was given to the Osgood Neighbors Neighborhood Association and the Friends of North Central/S. Lansingburgh Neighborhood Association.
In 2007, the Troy Treasure award was given to the Friends of Prospect Park.
The Friends of Prospect Park (shown with Rensselaer County Executive Kathleen Jimino) received the 2007 Troy Treasures award at TRIP’s Annual HomeComing Dinner in October.
