Saturdays 9am-1pm | Riverfront Park

TWFM LogoEvery Saturday, more than 50 food growers, bakers, chefs and artisans gather to offer the Capital Region's freshest and finest! At the market, you buy directly from the producer - the person who grew it or made it and can tell you how to best cook, use and enjoy it. Plus, your dollars contribute directly to the local economy and assure the future of a healthy regional food system.

But it's more than a farmers' market. For over 10 years, it has provided a community gathering place with live music, great food, family activities and lots of learning opportunities. Each Saturday, thousands of shoppers from across the Capital Region come to shop, dine, relax and visit with family and friends.

    * Fresh Produce: vegetables, herbs, berries, tree fruit
    * Meat, Poultry, Dairy: beef, elk, pork, chicken, eggs, milk, cheese
    * Baked Goods: artisan breads, pies, cakes, cookies, pastries
    * Condiments and Preserves: jams, jellies, relishes, hot sauces, salsa
    * Sweeteners and Sweets: honey, maple syrup, chocolates and candies
    * Catered Meals: soups, stews, sandwiches and entrees
    * Flowers and Plants: cut & potted flowers, potted herbs, bedding plants
    * Household Items: soaps, lotions, cleaning products, textiles
    * Artisan Wares: pottery, wool and knitted goods, paper, photography

Watch the video below which ends with TRIP VISTA volunteer Nick Smith getting dunked in the North Central/Uptown event's dunking pool! Keep that enthusiasm and momentum going in order to make all Troy's neighborhoods great and safe.

anchor4RPI Alert System

Thursday, Aug. 19, 2010 | 10am-12pm

RPI Logo

RPI's Office of Emergency Management has scheduled a test of the RPIAlert System for Thursday, August 19 from 10am to 12pm, which will include testing of the siren. The testing will be similar to last year's testing process.

The goal is:
1) to make sure the system is working prior to the academic year, and
2) to calibrate the system for campus-wide effectiveness.

The 2-hour calibration period allows for several system activations. The system testing will also involve sending test messages.
