TRIP participates in neighborhood improvement projects, clean-ups, rebuilding efforts, and more with residents, local officials, other organizations and corporate partners. Our latest accomplishment was the creation of a beautiful new community garden built on several derelict, vacant lots.

Below, at the A&V Neighborhood Community Garden’s ribboncutting on June 10, 2006. From left TRIP Board President Ann Ellery, residents Ms. Virginia Dickson and Ms. Allene Gamble, TRIP Staff Hilary Lamishaw, and Capital District Community Gardens Staff Sharon DiLorenzo. The garden was named after Allene and Virginia who successfully led the efforts to transform this blight into a flourishing garden of delight.
