
TRIP offers free training for Troy landlords or potential landlords to learn about best practices in rental management, such as screening tenants, code issues, eviction process, safety and more. The four-hour session includes speakers from Troy Code Enforcement, Community Police, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, United Tenants, and TRIP‘s Rental Management Unit. This program is offered three or four times each year.
The goal of the Troy Landlord Training Program is to improve the quality of life in Troy’s neighborhoods by assisting landlords secure decent tenants and responsibly maintain their buildings. All landlords or potential landlords are welcome to attend.
